I knew I forgot something when I got home. Mobo excitement got me side tracked. You got a traders rating coming your way.

Well seeing how I can't do much other than put my board in my case until my cpu and ram show up I may as well update you with what I got done tonight.

And now I finally gave some thought of where to stick my SSD's and I have come up with only one place I like, and have room for, on the back of the mobo tray. Right now only stuck on with some tape for the picture. I can't decide how to mount them. Only choices I have are bolting it through the tray and double sided tape. I want something less "permanent" then tape. I know I can pull them off but I don't sticky stuff all over my drives or case. If I bolt them on I have to take my mobo out if I ever want to remove them Also paranoid of shorting something on the back side of my new sexy board. And If I use velcro I can't the back panel on because it will be too think and same issue with the tape.

But here is where I have them for now.

I also came up with another way to mount the HHD in the cage. I let the picture do the talking. I just have to do some custom cables and I will most likely lose the fan. I'm not sure if I am going to go through with it yet.

But here is where I am for now. Been a while, so I will sum up my list of stuff to do.

1: Install new hardware.
2: Mount SSD's
3: Got some aluminum fabrication to do.
4: Cable management again.
5: Paint/powdercoat.

Probably missing something but I'm slowly getting there. Until tomorrow, I hope.

Animal,

I have never seen the Sabertooth MB up close. I am really looking forward to seeing how the motherboard looks inside your build. And I really love Noctua fans. I did extensive research on fans before buying them for my build.

Looking forward to more pics!

My camera can't do my build justice. I hate it. I really need to get a decent one. I also need to get some photography skills too.

Cpu and Ram are "Out For Delivery" as of 6am this morning from local UPS location. Hope they didn't come when no one was home to sign for them.

Lmao. Yea sometimes they hide mine behind a bush or next to the steps. One time it was even in my backyard.

I was actually thinking they left it some where. I've had a Fedex guy leave it in my car once so I was headed to check my car, Left it home and too the bike today, and was dis appointed on my way back when tucked down by the bushes what a box. Made my day.

Oh forget it. I'm going to do some thing different this time. I'll just update as I'm building this time.

i5-2500k goodness. Dam the box is soooo small!! Made in Costa Rica? Well at least it's not China.

I should have just bit the $40 bullet on my ram. I really wanted Mushkin Blackline Ridgeback because of their heatsinks. They would have matched the board's sinks and been black instead of bright red. Don't get me wrong, I love the color and style of these, just not for this build. But I let my wallet do the deciding this time. If I end up really hating them I may return/sell them and get the Mushies.

YUMM... Noctua.... That pewny thing on the right is what was shipped with my chip. Explains the small box.

Yupp... Don't like the red...It screams look at me I don't fit. Good thing my C14 has my back.

Will have some more later on. Enjoy.

You've done a very good job matching colors with the new mobo. I imagine it would this will look very cohesive when done.

Great job so far. +1 in my book
