Well I've been at this for about 2 hours, but finally I managed to install the HHD's in reverse and hide all of the cable. (one of the major cable issue in this case)
HHD's in the cage bassakward. Just like everything else in my case it was one heck of a tight fit. But with a slim fan installed on the outside it fits and I can still get some air to my drives. I ended up flipping the fan around to pull air out. Only problem is that the fan blades don't have to protective supports to help hold wire out of the way. So now it was even harder to stuff wires out of the fan blades. But all the work was worth the supper clean inside.

Nice going! One question I have is why you decided to mount the fans for the hard drives in reverse? That is, your hard drive fan is now an exhaust fan. I would have thought you would want cooler air circulating through the hard drives by pulling-in air from outside the case.
Then again, you have so many intake fans already pulling-in cool air that you needed a large exhaust fan.Project Voyager - in progress

I did run into an issue doing this. You can't put a "full sized" HDD in the bottom of the cage if you flip them up side down. But they work just fine if you only turn them around. I flipped mine upside down so I could route my sata cables up through the top of the cage and out of the way of the PSU.Quote:Well, now I'm gonna have to copy your hdd idea, lmao. Thanks again.
I don't want to cook my drives with the exhaust from my psu. And with the larger volume of air I'm already I don't really need to add more to it. I just wanted to keep pair moving around the drives so they don't get too hot.Quote:Nice going! One question I have is why you decided to mount the fans for the hard drives in reverse? Thanks for the complement. I don't have a plan to get a fan controller because I don't want to mess with knobs routing cables, and what not. I also don't like the look of the knobs on the front on the case. In fact I'm not really digging my DVD drive and multi card reader. But I use them so they have to stay. I may get one of those Lian Li stealth drive covers. We need more fans!
