It came out quite nice didn't it? And its all lined up perfectly. Only shame is that I lost my top I/O. will have to find some place for it.

I'm really jealous of your cuts. I wish I had access to a water jet

looking awesome! and rep+

It is nice. Cutting of the whole top took 3 minutes. Set up was longest though. I had to square off the jig we use to hold sheets in and then clamp down some aluminum angle, make sure it was square. That clamp the panel to the angle and make sure it would stay flat without wiggling and flopping around. I really wish I had taken a picture of it.

ok two weeks is too long to have not done any work. So over the weekend I decided to cut out the bottom of my case. Not much to say so I'll keep it short and let my pictures do the talking.

First, I had claim back my "cat bed" She seemed quite content on let my carry the case to the garage before she had enough and got out.

Now carving the belly of the beast. I know one hole isn't even close to round but I ran out of sanding drums for my dremal, and seeing as it is for the PSU intake it will do for now. When I break it down next time I touch it up. There is actually a lot more room then I expected. I have pretty much decided that I will be re-doing the mobo sleeving and will making a custom cable for the HHD. I also picked up some fan grills. They really bring together the top panel in my option.

Yes top panel is an intake and my bottom is exhaust. I did this to feed my gpus and I like the look of the fans rather then the frames. I haven't had the chance to do and temp checks. I did a fresh install of Windows.

I still have a few things to touch up. So it's not done yet but I got the major case mods done and my list of stuff to do is getting shorter.

Things to do:
1: Make/buy 3/4x 2.5 hdd to 5.25 bay
2: Touch up PSU intake/cable management
3: Some cable sleeving
4: Paint/powdercoat.
5: probably have more things to do.

And I leave with my "DOH" moment. I bet some of you other A05 owners have done this.

After number four is done I want to get some good pictures of this thing, even if it means a special weekend trip.

I have never seen a well priced 3/4x 2.5 hdd to 5.25 bay, bet you could make one for way cheaper.

I'm not sure what is going on in your "DOh" moment picture.

The case has a front mount PSU that exhausts out the front so it needs an internal extension to route the power out the back. I'm running with the front panel off at the moment.

You know you are always welcome at my place. Just gotta give me a heads up before you head down.

Dude I love this build u done a proper job. I was to cowardly to be that adventuresome. I just stuck with the twin 120mm blow holes in the top with the side window.
