Shazzam! The market, and when I say market I mean the uneducated mass market the companies make money from, is going for mobile devices that are easy to use (APPLE much!) When you have two people finding a successful company, one is the technical side(WOZNIAK!) and the other is sales (JOBS!). And just in case anyone has forgotten what Job's role at APPLE has been (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiped...iki/Steve_Jobs). He may or may not also be on the board of directors of the WALT DISNEY CORPORATION, who happens to sell the American illusions of princesses and fairy tales that keeps the USA economy "Rollin'".

Since Apple has surpassed Msoft in the Rat Race, I hope everyone here can manage to switch their perceptions of each enterprise. I hate to do it but I am about to quote Ballmer when I say that, "Apple has a lot of MARGIN built into their products," and as a personal vendetta (Engineering student) I despise Apple and their exclusivity clauses that are within the fine print of their license agreements when purchasing/downloading one of their products (Certainly a JOBS machination)

Anywho, Msoft is attempting a rebuttal w/WinPhone7, etc. I haven't had the displeasure to join in with the "smartphone" crowd yet so I do not know the status of the battle between OS's is going. That is all for now.

Intel already went with Apple... or is it the other way around

MS is not in the hardware or chip development business.

No.... Microsoft (software/service) is protecting NVIDIA (hardware design). Why would AMD (hardware design) would want a acquisition pact with Intel (hardware)?

Apple choose Intel to supply CPU/chipsets for their computer line. Apple chooses other companies for their phone/tablet/SSD products. Apple inhouse design/builds a lot of other hardware/software/services. Do not confuse buy products from a company with some form of acquisition pact.

I was thinking and is actually both.

NVIDIA has a Posion Pill via White Knight. If a company wishes to aquire NVIDIA, they have to gauge what MS will do.
Once again...

Ferrari has a lot of margin built in as well. Should I despise them because of it? When you talk of the uneducated mass, you're referring to the Windows users right? OSX isn't what the majority of the populace is running on. They're using a cheap knockoff that has been copying Macs' OS for decades.

well they had been doing linux drivers for that long, that is good I don't need to worry when I change back to Nvidia in the future.

Did you? One of the main reasons M$ lost a crapload of money on the Original Xbox was because Nvidia screwed them over. About over a year after its release and long afterwards Microsoft asked Nvidia to drop the price of the GPU they made for the Xbox and they didn't, hence why they went AMD/ATI with the 360 and discontinued Xbox 1 so quickly. If Nvidia do accept any future stake deals from MS, it will go through management hell for sure (which although would serve them right, is something I wouldn't want to see happening).

What you did not know was the XBox 360 deal also included clauses that basically gave Microsoft control over whatever IP was on the hardware. ATI wanted revenue, NVIDIA wanted control of its IP.
