ill do you guys a favor and report this to GB, as I am doing a review on the UD7 and noticed it as well with the board, i also noticed some other odd bugs, but none as big as the reboot loop. Honestly its only happened twice or maybe 3 times? I just pull out the 24 pin connector and hit clear cmos and its fine.

You can use the restart button, just using it instead of on/off button causes this more frequently.

The dual BIOS isn't glitchy, it actually works pretty damn well and is one great feature.

AMI is what asus and everyone else uses
GB uses the Award BIOS team that they bought

So w/c is the feature that's glitched? Isn't it the BIOS? What one has to do to "work around" seems like a hassle..

Am I getting it wrong? What's the situation called? bugged? or engineering failure? (not a rhetorical question)

I just want to know so if ever, I'll know why or why not to recommend GIGA boards to my friends ATM.

i have no idea why it persists, they got it working well at the end point of P67, it seems with every new microcode intel puts out they gotta rebuild their BIOSes, and with the touch BIOS now its becoming a task.

for instance i was told with BIOS F8X for my UD7 B2 that they took care of the restarting issues, then with F3H i was told the same about the UD7-B3, once in a while they go after these issues.

Hello, man. Do you work for Gigabyte, or have some kind of deal with them? I think I saw you write that they sent motherboards to you, for review.

Also, you have rep + 666 now tongue.gif

no i do NOT work for them. I just get review samples from them and keep in contact to help better develop products and fix issues. I think they call me a "power user" lol.

Did you really have to rep me to 666 LOL.

That's just too bad then.. not gonna recommend gigabyte til this gets resolved..

Thanks though.. Shame they have such sexy boards.

I'm surprised no one started a thread on such a important problem on this forum.

At this point, no one can say for sure if it's a Gigabyte problem or a Intel P67/Z68 problem.

It also doesn't affect everyone, ud4 b3 with the f3d bios & no using the restart button = no problems for me anymore... PLL overvoltage enabled or disabled hasn't made any difference.
I think all the p67 boards out there seem to have their issues regardless of manufacturer.

exactly, i never had this problem with P67 while everyone was saying it was affecting them, then for a few months as P67 matured with some BIOSes, the problem almost went away, and now with Z68 looks like its coming back.

As of now just update your BIOS, or try another BIOS version, as some are affected more than others and the one variable is the BIOS used.
