Samsung Syncmaster PX2370 Issue

I got this monitor (PX2370) about 6 months months ago as a gift and haven't really put it to use. However, after using it for a bit, I noticed there is an insanely annoying humming/buzzing noise that comes out of the back of the unit when the display is running. This oscillates with the brightness level, being the most tolerable at 100% brightness. Now, I know this is common with most LCD monitors, but this is incredibly irritating to the point where I'll turn up music just to avoid it. I mean, I can hear it audibly from about 15 feet away. My question is, is this model known for being incredibly loud when it comes to the buzzing, or do I have a lemon? Haven't had much like googling threads about it so I thought I;d bring it to you guys.

I haven't had any issues, I've had mine almost a year now, my buddy has had his for four months without issue. If I were you I'd bring it to your local Best Buy, explain the issue to them letting them know that it was a gift. If they're cool about it and they have some of these in stock they may let you have a new one as these are now a discontinued item and BBY is trying to get rid of them. Wall of text now over....

One quick question: do you use it with a DVI input or HDMI?

EDIT: Also, do you have any idea what kind of manufacturer's warranty this has?

I've never heard anything of the sort from mine - I use DVI. My only issues with this monitor are non-VESA compliance and the damn wobbly stand I'm stuck with.

Yeah not being able to mount it sucks. I'm beginning to realize that I only started experiencing the really bad buzzing when i switched to hdmi for my new laptop from dvi. Once i get me rig assembled ill test both. Thanks for the response.
