How to properly use partitions on SSD (XP)?

Thread Starter
I am very new to partitions and have never used them before, and I need some help. I just installed Windows XP on an Intel 320 120gb SSD, after following these instructions for creatings partitions.

http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...oler-on-Vertex

I made the first partition 8gb, and left about 100gb for the other. I just installed Windows XP on the first partition (8gb), and after the basic installation, 7.6gb is used, and I only have 215mb left on that partition. I haven't installed any programs yet or even finished updating drivers, and I'm already out of space. I moved 'my documents' folder to the other partition. Also, in the primary partition, the 'Windows' folder is using about 4.95gb, the 'program files' folder is using 310mb, and the 'documents and settings' folder is using 495mb. The overall total is at 7.6gb, with only 215mb to spare.

This is my first time ever using partitions, and I'm not sure what to do from here, or how to properly use them. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. thanks
