*New* To overclocking need some help

Thread Starter
Hey Guys!

I am new to the forum and new to over clocking and would greatly apprecaite some help.

Motherboard: Evga Sli 3
Ram: Cosair Triple Channel 3x4gb 1333mhz
Processor: Intel i7-960
Cooling: Cosair H60 Liquid Cpu Cooler

Pretty much everything ones default. I manually up'd the Ram to 1333, the default was 1033 and the processor is on 2.9ghz

What I hope you guys can do is help me set up a stable timing for the ram and help me O'C the processor to something stable. I heard I should beable to run it at 4ghz. But any time I try to over clock even the slightest bit the whole system clocks up or doesnt reboot if I do it bios..

Really need help. Thanks!

Looked over the article thanks for posting it.

Would anyone be so kind as too give me defaults for my specs (timing, freqency, voltage) so i can have a base to go with and then go from there?

THe system wont even boot when i try it

If you clear the cmos, everything will go back to default.
