I just talked to a rep on CM's website, and they said it will be available in the US in mid July. So where did you guys get yours?

It has been available in EU for months now. CM face smashed the 800DPI setting with a firmware update and only recently fixed it.

No need to switch dpi's; just jump in or out of the vehicle and go, because you can tweak each mode independently; once you get your infantry baseline mouse sensitivity setting adjusted to your liking. There are some good BFBC2 guides on the net, here's two I can recommend:

Yup this seemed to be the best way to go about it. However it doens't work for all games. Nor are we expected to go out of our way to edit ini just because our mouse dpi had been set. To have the following argument:

Anyway, lowering your cpi to snipe is a silly idea because a) when you zoom in you're lowering your FOV. the last thing you want to do when you lower your FOV is lower your cpi as well. b) it's hard enough to develop muscle memory for one sensitivity, and when you change your sensitivity to snipe, you force yourself to learn two!

If you find that you have to lower it. you're probably using a sensitivity that's too high to begin with.

Crysis Wars had tanks and a good mouse feel. I played that game. I never had to change my cpi to use a tank unless I was using a bad cpi value to begin with (something that wasn't around 800-1000cpi.)

is just so childish. We should all know our own cases don't apply to everyone else in the world. But saying you shouldn't be playing a certain game because the mouse control is bad, or why you shouldn't have custom and adjustable dpi is just so retarded.

If the OP likes the dpi settings on the spawn, valor, or similar mouses, then I think it'll be fine. Those mouses are best on cloth, like the talent.

I can confirm it tracks perfectly on steelseries qck, zowie g-tf and steelseries 9hd. So yes it works great on hardpads too but the LOD is too low for it to track on on white mousepads, paper or the desk. The way to fix this is to get the v30a firmware instead of the v32

About the puretrak stealth, other guys are saying it track great on the talent, which is basicly the same so I think its safe to say it will track on the stealth too

Heres what some other guys said on the cm storm forum

Does not track on my shiny white melamin desktop, but I really don't care about this at all, this is just an observation. The early Ver. 30 beta did track on my desk, while Ver. 28, which I had to flash back to, did not. Doesn't matter, I always use my mousepad anyway. The Spawn's perfect for me now, woo hoo!

Congratulations CM! Great job!

It does bother me a bit, because my mousepad is as new as my mouse, so I think I'll stick to 30a, but that's too bad, because I see that the LOD has improved dramatically

So, this explains why it does not work on ElectricDelta's table either.

So I think there's no real solution for this other than changing my mousepad =(

Though it works on Razer Scarab which is silver brilliant pad, but it doesn't track as well as on Razer Goliathus - black cloth pad.

It's awsome what can be done on this sensor/mouse with just a firmware update.
Maybe with a few more tweeks it could work on brilliant pads as well.

I think you are safe with white clothpads as clothpads usually give high LOD especially the talent

I already posted this in the Spawn "800 dpi fixed" thread, but here it is again, my experience:

The only negative reports I've read of have been on white and/or shiny/highly-reflective surfaces. In my own case, the Spawn won't track on my shiny white desktop, nor on a white sheet of paper directly, at least with Version 32, but it did with the early Version 30 beta (which had other problems). In general, I would recommend firmware Version 32 with a darker colored mousepad. I'm quite well-pleased with the Spawn/Talent combination.
