Hard Time Deciding

So I'm absolutely sick of my 7200rpm HDD and am looking at getting a new SSD for OS and applications/games etc so im not looking at huge capacity (mainly cos im cheap haha)

I have been looking at specs of drives like the Corsair F60 and Crucial C300 64gb and similar price range below $150. Seeing as I have a new board with sata 6gbps capability I thought sata3 would be a no brainer but the sata2 drives seem to boast higher read/write speeds than sata3?

Can someone please tell me what is going on there because this really isnt my area and also any suggestions would definitely be appreciated seeing as i am so rookie at this.

Cheers,
Misso

Seeing as you already own a motherboard with 66Gb/s (SATA 3) capability I would definately get a SATA 3 SSD for added speed
I think a Crucial C300 64GB would be a good choice for starters or Crucial M4 64Gb (Newer Technology) They are around the same price. They are both well in your price range.

EDIT:
For s start SATA 3 has better sequential speeds aka read and write speeds) Come in handy you move alot of files and when your drive needs to constantly read something.Seeing as you already own a sata 3 board there is no reason not to get a sata 3 ssd really.

any reason why youd go sata3 over sata 2 when the sata2's seem to boast better specs at similar price? i must be missing something
