New gaming rig PLS help (AMD PC) - Page 3

I don't think he will need 1600MHz RAM only for gaming. There's no difference between 1600MHz and 1333MHz RAM Also as I said I would suggest You 500-550W branded PSU insteead of 700W unles You want CF or SLI in the future.

@OP: If it's same price, go for a Gigabyte 890fx motherboard. Phenom x6 1090t BE is fine, it gets to 3600mhz without temps rising if games use less than 3 or less cores.
lol phenom x6 be is like 3x the price of x4 be so. i cant afford that hahaha

here are the specs :

MOBO: MSI 870-g45 AMD770 MOBO
GPU: sapphire ati radeon HD5770
MEM.CARD: corsair 4gig ddr3 1333
CPU: amd phenom x2 BLACK EDITION
COOLER: coolermaster v8
CHASSIS: thermaltake v4 black edition
HD : 250gig seagate barracuda
PSU: Thermaltake 700w

that's about it.. hoping for any suggestions and comments .. violent reactions will do hahaha
I think you can do away with the thermaltake 700w and get something like the Antec Neo Eco 520 or higher, or the Corsair 650TX and up. That will save you at least $10 USD.

You can put away the v8 (unless you intend to overclock) and get something like the Coolermaster Hyper 212+ instead which would save you roughly $20.

Hopefully with that you'll be able to get a hard drive that is at least 500GB in size especially since it *seems* you will be doing a little bit of gaming.

get a bigger graphics card. You can find 460's and 5830's for about $110 on newegg every so often. The system you laid out seems like it should be no more than $500 here in the US. Definately get a 1TB drive, they go on sale for $45 all the time.
