What voltage do you have to use for 5. Please tell me you aren't leaving it on auto. I'm not positive but I bet the board will default to at least 1.48-1.52.

Work your way up to 5 by using manual voltages, auto at those speeds is a recipe for disaster.

1. it is not stock voltage, 2. i do not see what the big deal is, the worst that could happen is my CPU gets hot and i have to stop, i am not an idiot, i will not let anything bad happen, i will monitor everything

Degradation due to high volts (not from temps) and/or dead cpu or motherboard.

so far...... running prime 95 not hitting 5 yet...... when is it supposed to hit max frequency?

OK.... what is high voltage? i have the voltage set, can it exceed that? if so, then what is the point of setting the voltage?

also, what is the temp i should reasonably start worrying at, so far i have not seen any that i, personally, think i should start worrying about

Well what's your voltage?
