Looking for a New mobo, 8+2, AM3+, USB3.0 onboard header?!

Thread Starter
Building a new rig. Need a good looking mobo with nice color scheme (I like dark ones), what are my options under $150? It needs to have 8+2 power design, AM3+ ready, USB 3.0 onboard header for front USB3 support. I prefer Asus boards, but I read ASRock Extreme was the first to have onboard header for USB3.0 for front, Gigabite or MSI would be OK too.. Please let me know what you guys would go with? Thanks.

Under $150 you have no options.

Your best option under $150 for AMD AM3+ boards is this Asus; though I'd highly suggest putting down $30 more for the AsRock Deluxe 5

Thank you for a reply.
I just figured I had nothing under $150 after browsing the net. Yea, I saw that ASRock board, it is nice, that Asus you linked does not have onboard USB3 I do not think or the 8+2 phase, does it? Asrock has 8+2 and USB3 on board..

The asrock deluxe5 is a great board...lol...look at sig......it is 890fx chipset though, but it appears the only thing you will loose with bd is power saving features. I am very satisfied with mine, loaded with overclock features and has the new mouse enabled bios.

yea, it looks nice your board that is. I am thinking of maybe just spend $200 and get the Asus Sabertooth board that just came out and be future proof for a long while.. It looks wild and it would look great inside all black CM 690II Adv case with Rip Jaws ram, Asus HD6850 video-card with Rolimatech Megahalems and Zalman VF2000 cooling parts on CPU and GPU.

Other AM3+ 900 series boards should be out soon. Some 990X boards in the $110-$130 range should have all you want, even the 970 boards should have what you want.

I know I just read today about these from Gigabyte. I like the 990fx-ud3, all black and will have everything I need, or the Sabertooth that just came out, both look great! I will wait most def, any idea when these UD3s come out?

Wait for ASRock's 990fx extreme 4 mobo to be released. If you are going AM3+ I wouldn't even bother with an 890fx mobo tbh.
