Safe voltage for north bridge(AMD 955)

Thread Starter
My CPU is Phenom II X4 955 Oc'd to 4GHz. I have overclocked my north bridge to 2600MHz with 1.25V. What is the safe voltage range for my north bridge? Is 1.35 - 1.4 safe? smile.gif

My CPU voltage is 1.51. The north bridge is at 1.45 now. In games my CPU isn't going above 54C! Is everything OK? Greetings! wink.gif

I would say that you are safe but I would think about getting a better cooler for your cpu.

make sure that you don't confuse the CPU/NB and the NB.

The CPU/NB is the IMC and that can be driven to similar voltages as the CPU and the NB caps out about 1.4v.

I increased the CPU/NB voltagae to 1.45 and I can't get 2800MHz, lol! After saving changes, I just got no post screen. It's only 200MHz more.. frown.gif What should I do?

I felt compelled to ask you if your trying to kill your components goin 4GHz cpu, and 2.8 NB with stock cooler? O.o. Mine is lower then yours with a 920 push/pull and 5 internal case fans.

Im not sure where your problem is (other then cooling) i have the same board/chip as you.
