Not going to lie, iOS is like Call of Duty.

Take last generation.
Add some features you nicked from your competitors.
Profit.

I moved onto Android and am pretty damn glad I did.

Android apps scale properly at tablet resolutions, iOS apps don't, which is why they require a separate app store for the iPad, and why the iPad 2 uses the same size screen as the iPad 1. They couldn't change it without forcing every developer to redo their app for the new size.

Apple will have to do it eventually. The longer they put it off the harder it will be.

That is lame. A lot. When you open a non scaled app it's tiny and when you try to make it bigger it's all pixelated.

That's not right. Call of Duty doesn't nick things from competitors... they just rerelease the same game with a few new maps.

iOS just takes all the things that SHOULD'VE been released a long time ago and feeds them to their audience one by one. I mean, honestly? Wirelessly updating your iPod? Even my piece of junk phone doesn't need to hook up to a computer to update.

The thing that got me was that they're releasing MobileMe stuff for free now. Sorry to everyone who paid the subscription for it, but now you get that app that Windows users have had for years for free.

It's not why they require a separate store for the iPad, they simply separate apps designed for iPad, and iPhone. I don't know why they don't have it so iPhone apps on the iPad scale up to 960x640 rather than "pixel double" 480x320, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was intentional to encourage iPad dedicated apps, rather than scaling up phone-optimized apps.

They can change it, they can double it. And they will, just like the iPhone 4, when the technology is there.

The thing is... The technology is already there. Its been there for a while. They just refuse to use it.

Also:

11:46 am"First time we've seen this in the music industry."
11:46 amAny music can be re-downloaded to any device for no additional charge.

???? Doesnt Amazon already do this? o.O At least i have never had to repurchse a song to download it on another pc o.O Its just linked to my Amazon account :/ I will give it to them that it doesnt auto upload on all devices but you can still download it ...

For a retina display? Mmm, not yet.

EDIT: As of MobileMe no longer existing, I wonder how its going to keep my bookmarks in sync. Did it mention that? I'm a little worried.

I like "ITunes Match"

2:54PM Software will scan your tunes and match it up with those songs in the store. "We give that music the same benefits as music purchased in iTunes."

AWESOME! But $25 a year....still awesome.

... Retina display or whatever they want to call it is just a normal display.

Quato from wikipedia:
The display of the iPhone 4 is designed by Apple and is manufactured by LG. It features an LED backlit TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen with a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch (ppi) on a 3.5 in (8.9 cm) (diagonally measured), 960×640 display.

The screen is marketed by Apple as the "Retina Display", based on the assertion that a display of approximately 300 ppi at a distance of 12 inches (305 mm) from one's eye is the maximum amount of detail that the human retina can perceive.
/quote

Just because Apple says its a special display doesnt make it one. Its a normal display with a higher resolution.
