Also, you make it sound like those information are such small sacrifices. Any private info can aid in identity theft, threats, and other malicious activities. America was founded on the basis of protecting our basic rights as citizens, and what LulSec is publicly doing is in direct violation of that. Besides, we have checks and balance as well as other legal processes to help control the government. Who is controlling those pricks at LulzSec? Their great unwavering patriotism? Don't make me laugh. Even you can't be that naive. LulzSec is a vigilante group with their heads stuck up their own asses that has now dabbled in threats and extortion. If you are willing to sacrifice your own privacy, go on ahead. I will hang on to my patriotism and honest sense of morals and value my own privacy as my right.
agreed, The group is making every thing worst and people that are so blind don't realize that. But they will when we start getting internet ID cards shove down our throats.

If groups like LulzSec continue with their ways, we could very well find government imposed regulations on ISP's and what not. Now tinfoil hat people may tell you that this is a grand scheme by the government posing as hackers to secretly convince we need government regulations on the net and who knows, they may actually be right. If they are, kudos to the government for actually being smart and elaborate about it and damn them for doing so (I will throw in my meager single vote to protect us from any Internet regulation bills). Either way though, no mater who may actually be doing what, if these so called hacker groups continue their rampant cybercrime and expose of personal citizen data, the government may certainly be able to. The general public is dumb enough during times of fright to empower them to do so.

A state of fright has been maintained for the last 10,000 years by a variety of groups for similar reasons. It is what Kings and Gods and Patriot Acts are made from.

Meh... I will avoid that particular discussion in this thread. LOL Let's just say that I have no doubt that if groups like LulzSec continue in their ways, all of us will be suffering the consequences soon in the form of regulations.

Let's not make assumptions now.

And if this is a semi-direct attack against the FBI, wouldn't this be a matter of the NSA?
You want the NSA involved?

They would shut the internet down in the blink of an eye if they had their way.

Eventually these "groups" no matter what country they are in, are going to have the same realization as Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto.
