The block is warrantied for 2 years regardless, what difference does it make if I send it in now or later, since this particular replacement program has a time limit of 7/31? What sort of delusional business practices do you think flies here in the states?
this
I bought my block in the states....does EK seriously want me to ship back to the states if my block is failing.... (i'll be checking sometime within the next 2 weeks)

That is what i am thinking. It seems to be a fairly new problem. That is what made me think they changed there plating procedure. Since Eddy says they didnt it has to be some particles of some sort in the solution, or bad cleaning solution too.

Keep trying to say this but never do, ALL companies have failings at some point. Could be customer service, or like xfx, could be product problems. Having high failure rates does not mean your a bad company that people should not buy from. However, blaming customers, or something THAT COULD NOT CAUSE THE PROBLEMS DESCRIBED is bad business and will not be tollerated. Some of us at overclock.net know what we are talking about and the Blatant lies are not only horrible, but sometimes unforgivable and can get you "black listed". And for a website as big as us, lying to us, and having some of the older class(ones who recommend what to buy before you do) will cost you(EK) money. When people stop recommending you, people will stop buying your product.

Eddy EK you say that the the Americans and the Australians are the one with the most problems so it is likely to be something to do with how the product is shipped. If it goes in a plane for a long time (the product has to go a long distance to the USA and AU), the pressure could affect your blocks and lead to the flaking that people on here and other forums have had. A bit of a long shot I know. Anyone else have a better idea.

OK Eddy, thanks for the clarification on how and where to ship returns but you simply addressed one issue and not one hint of an apology for the inconvenience these guys are going to have to undergo due to your inept plating issue.

Apart from the cost of shipping to and from the retailer i guess most people will have a few other questions you may want to address such as these seven below but no doubt i could double that with ease and many others will have more.

Is it too much to ask for clarification on the following to at least put some queries to rest as all these loyal customers want is a few simple answers....

1/ So i uninstall my block and find it has problems – how long after sending the 3 photos and the RMA form to support@ekwaterblocks.com do i expect to wait before i get the go ahead to then return the block/s to the retailer???

2/ I uninstall my block and find no visible defect but i don’t feel comfortable to carrying on using it or the EK brand – am i able to RMA???

3/ If i fitted my brand new block in the last few days, do you expect me to pull the block at my own time and expense and return the block before July 31st???

4/ Once the block/s are returned, again how long should i expect my system to be unusable due to the return block being shipped???

5/ Are the replacement blocks going to be of better quality to that i am sending back???

6/ What if the replacement block fails???

7/ Why is this whole experience costing me time and money when all i did was buy from a so called reputable dealer???

Not knowing how the system they use for QA it could be something as simple as a new person was behind and in a rush didn't check propperly, but like all jobs once you have done it for a while it gets easy

@wermad He is going to be the onlly one I'm getting to old for more
