Greetings,

I just recieved my new Rig, but i have a problem with my Antec Kühler H2O 920, my friend also got his new Rig today and is having the same problem, we can't seem to find the error.

Anyways, we can't find the USB connection, so when we try to run the following program to change the fan speed, color scheme etc - the following error occours:

Cannot Connect to Chill Control device.
Check USB connection on device and restart the chill control application.

Anyone knows how to resolve this issue ?

There are three connections for the 920:

1: the Fan connection splitter -> goes into the exhaust fans
2: the PUMP/FAN PWR: Goes into the CPU fan connector
3: the Fan contol for Chillcontrol V software, goes into the Internal USB power connectors, they're usually along the outer edge of the board, and have 8 pins, you plug it in with the Black wire facing RIGHT on the top four pins of the USB connector.

Hey, I'm helping my friend out with this problem.

Now the manual says to do the exact opposite of what you describe. That'll be the USB-cable plugged in facing Black LEFT in the bottom 5-pins.

If I do as you say, there are no lights on the pump, and the fans spin up to max, and Windows won't even recognize that something has been plugged in.

That's totally not the same motherboard. His motherboard is a Gigabyte UD5. But layout is almost the same.

Oddest thing is that the drivers that come on the CD doesn't work. I've tried to install them manually using Device Manager, but still nothing.

I really don't know what the problem is, so any help fast, would be repped smile.gif

EDIT: Maybe someone could log in to Antec's website and download the files for the Antec Kühler 920, and perhaps e-mail them to me? Their site is currently blocked from where I'm at.

Quite funny, because i have the instructions here right in front of me, and its saying black wire on the right, and the top set of pins, plus mine is working, and yours is not, sign?

Edit: your not by any chance looking at the instructions upside-down? lol

Nope... In the manual the bottom 5 pins are highlighted...

Now, I've plugged it in the top 4 pins, and the fans run crazy fast, and no lights are on the pump, and the software still doesn't work.

It's quite annoying now...

Hello all, same problem here. I have it plugged in to the row of 5 pins with the black wire closest to the missing pin. So I'm pretty sure I have it connected the same as you guys.

I think there's some Windows crap causing this, especially considering a full format and reinstall helped me get the driver to show up as an installed program.

BTW, I also have a Gigabyte motherboard, the 6 Series P67A-UD3-B3. Perhaps this motherboard has issues with usb devices...?confused.gif
