Halo 4 Announced at E3 - Page 4

I disagree. Reach has a bigger skill gap than previous Halo games by far. Solution -- don't play regular playlists and play MLG. Armor Lock is a pos, yes, but the DMR isn't garbage. It's a 5-shot kill, meaning it takes better aim than the BR, which was a 4-burst kill (and even then, it only needed 10 out of the 12 bullets to hit to kill), to use well. The BR was more noob-friendly by far.

The bloom renders hapless trigger-spamming ineffective unless we're talking very close DMR battles, so knowing how to pace shots will serve you well. To be honest, I don't see bloom as a big setback. Whenever I find myself in a DMR battle, it is never at a distance where bloom becomes so big that I can't even hit center mass of my opponent (I aim center mass until shields are dropped and then zoom in for the headshot kill).
I guess I'm resistant to change. I just didn't want to relearn how to play Reach when I was already set in my ways after ~10 years of the old way. Oh, and let us not forget the removal of bullet travel time in Reach. That was annoying.

No it isn't. On the other hand, if you had provided some legitimate reasoning I'd be more inclined to care what you think.

This title has been drawn out and beaten. Just let it die already, I was uninterested with the franchise after Halo 2. Too much of the same.

Bovice pretty much sums it up.

How has it been drawn out and beaten? Just because a game has a few iterations doesn't inherently mean it should die. I liked Halo 1, 2 and 3 a lot more than the newer ones, but that's just my opinion. Clearly people still love the series, so what reason to end it on the cliffhanger that Halo 3 made? Epic stories like the one Halo brings to the table need epic closure IMO.

Now they need to stop screwing around and bring it directly to PC at launch as well...

The demise of Halo. Should have just stopped but no Microsoft needs money.

I'm really not liking these... The art style is very similar to Halo Wars'; makes everything look like hand painted action figures. I also don't like the approach they made on the Halo 4 teaser. They showed some really high paced comically done action as the focus rather than the ominous story teasers that Bungie normally does for their games, which personally appeal to me a lot more. The only reason I have an interest in the Halo series is most definitely not for their gameplay, but the story. The teaser sets the mood and the projects priorities, and what they have set doesn't look serious. I wanted 343 Industries to make an awesome game, I had hopes considering most of their employees were originally from Bungie. I went into these trailers positively but what I saw looked like a joke. It may be just a teaser, but a teaser is often the most important to be genuine on, they're your first impressions.
I'm definitely going to hold final judgment till the final product, but I've lost a lot of interest I once had.
