Place to purchase 8 pin ATX Female?

Thread Starter
Oh Oh Please tell me some good news that I can purchase a separate 8 pin ATX female plug that is on motherboards from somewhere?

Board still works. Was gaming, smelled something not to delightful. I'm placing an order for a new PSU this week but mainly I need to find a new 8 pin ATX female plug that are on motherboards.

If I can find a plug, I can desolder the old one off & solder a new one on.

do you know how to solder?

I take them off broken or old mobos, i use a heatgun and they come off perfect

Yup. Might have to grab a new soldering gun-n-tip/tips vs the old stuff I've got.

That was my first idea but I don't have a spare mobo with 8 pin.
Great info on the heatgun, I will use my wagner.

Yea, I checked frozencpu n they do not carry what I am looking for.

Question still remains for replacement part from somewhere.

Thanks.

yea, there shoudl be some type of dealer, do you have local mom and pop computer stores?

Maybve just directly solder your PSu wires in place?

BTW with teh heat gun, you gotta aim at teh back of the board, it will melt plastic, 1kw is enough heat.

That's actually the receptacle the male pins go in. It's it straight or at a right-angle?

It's called a straight header.
