Hi.

Since i'm thinking to get a crossfire configuration i am sure that my actual vx550W won't be enough so... what can i take around 100$??? modular will be better but not sure to find at that price...

Thanks

tbh you won't get a suitable PSU which is modular for that price

I'd go for the TX750V2 at $109 after rebate

If you're thinking about adding a 2nd 6950, then the VX550 might be enough. AMD recommends a 500W peak-rated PSU to power a system that has one 6950 in it, and the VX550 is a 550W continuous-rated unit (it has a larger capacity than any 550 peak-rated unit).

However, this could be an opportunity to get a decent modular unit. Unfortunately, if you're talking about the equivalent of $100 USD (I know that you're in Italy), then it will be difficult to find a good one. Although, I do want to help, so from where can you order? If you link me to any sites that are in Italian, then try to link me directly to their PSU department.

Oh man, I have some great recommendations here! They're all modular too!

Personally, I recommend the HX650.

Oh, definitely. NVIDIA recommends a 550W peak-rated PSU to power a system that has one GTX 570 in it, and the HX650 is a high quality 650W continuous rated unit. So it's quite enough for a system that has two.

Um

Just to add to that, it does depend on the overclock etc. But a 650w could handle it but not with much headroom.

For example, i'm running 8 Scythe ultra kaze fans which are 6w each or soemthing stupid. So I had to factor that into my build.
