[BUYER BEWARE] Avoid IPAP.CO Web / Dedicated Server Hosting

First Of All they advertise that their servers are delivered in 3-5 days. Mine in fact took over 1 months from the date of payment to be delivered.

While I was waiting for them to set up my dedicated server I asked for them to set up their Shared Hosting with WHM to use as a Cpanel alternative to run my server to to also host my server's website. This took nearly two weeks to set up. Finally I got tired of waiting and asked them to cancel the service and provide a refund. Before they replied to the service ticket they immediately set up the service and replied to the ticket saying that they already are unable to provide a refund because the service had already been delivered.

At this point I decided to cut my losses and cancel all my services with this company.

Then today I get charged for the dedicated server hosting service that I cancelled nearly 2 weeks ago. So I sent them a support ticket saying that I was mistakenly charged and I wanted a refund. I promptly got an email from them saying

Hello
you have got your service and it can not be refunded please check our Terms
thank you!

But when I go to the "my service" portion of the client area it doesnt say anything about a $50/month service or dedicated servers. As far as they are concerned I am still being provided a non-existent service!!!

I don't know what type of operation they are running but there are too many coincidences of them trying to take my money and not provide anything in return. Therefore I can only conclude they run a real shady business and should be avoided!

They are essentially commiting theft, refusing to refund me for a service that was cancelled over 2 weeks ago!

I did build my own, it took them so long to set up my server I built my own colocation build and put that in a datacenter

I would call your bank or paypal or however you paid for it. I'd bet anything there will be a charge coming next month for "services rendered". You need to get a block on it.

Not every one can host at home...or is supposed to. I can do it from my house but it involves some port redirection that isn't all that speedy. If I got caught they would probably cut my internet line. So if I do it, it is only for testing reasons and it is for a very brief time (So I am sure I'd be able to sweet talk my way into getting Internet again)
