Witcher 1 pros: talent points help me spend...lvl 24

I know some of you haven't played in a while but maybe some of you have some insight if you recently finished.

I've been saving points in Chap 3 and have 13 bronze and 11 silver to spend.
I've been keeping things a bit even, 3 Dex, 3 Str, 2 Int and 2 in Stamina.
I don't have much interest in bombs but maybe I should.

Aard and Igni are at 2, the others at 1, with a couple bronze.

I have 2 in all swords except 3 in Fast Silver. Many are filled in but I didn't take any with Intoxication reqs.

Any suggestions as to what might be good to get now?

It's been a while, but I remember maxing out all swords and loving that final bonus move you get.

Unless you're playing with FCR, though, the game is so damned easy that it literally isn't possible to gimp your character sheet no matter how you spend your talents.

Aard and Igni are the only skills you should get if you are going sword (and only the bronze points) because they can increase sword damage if you read some of the skills.

You'll be able to get pretty much every bronze and silver point in the main trees + sword (or magic if you focus on magic). By the end of the game you will be placing points in whatever looks "less" worthless, you pretty much max out.

It's the most basic of basic character progression, why do you need help.. it's choice.. theres very few bad choices, and the game is incredibly easy with a perfect build (as in I never lose ANY health after like Act2).

It's pretty damn hard to max out your level in TW. It requires insane amounts of grinding on monsters that respawn on a day/night cycle and yield pitiful amounts of experience at higher levels. I finished the game 6 times and never made it past Mid-40's. And I don't recall ever wasting a gold talent point smile.gif

Ok I kind of forgot about this "no builds" aspect and kept thinking I might miss something. But yeah, it seems to have gotten a lot easier as long as I pay attention. Like not getting surrounded by 4 Royal Wyverns is a good idea. I'm sure there will be some new stuff to kick me around but right now, not much.

So I dumped pts in Igni, Aard, Str, Dex, swords. I like the idea of the pain trap, it's kind of fun but doesn't do much damage. Ok time to find that drug dealer maybe I'm almost out of this chapter.

Be warned if you do this, the game will play itself for you.
