Filco Stuck Modifiers and Keys - Page 2

When releasing keys slowly and not all at once, the keys do not stick.

However when releasing all at the same time it seems only 13-15 (mostly 13) of the 14+ number of keys pushed will release, while the others will stick. The right most keys you push will usually be the ones that stick, while the 13-15 of the left most ones will release. The modifiers also seem to stick much more often than the letters.

USB does solve this issue, due to the fact that it will be limited to 6kro. Not that I would ever need to push more than 6 keys simultaneously anyway.

It was a pretty interesting experiment since I was under the impression that with NKRO, I could mash the keys and they would all register and release.

I wonder if any of the other brands such as das, leopold, etc are able to release a bunch of keys without any sticking.

I guess that keyboard won't work for me. When I play WoW, I turn my keyboard upside down and just plant it repeatedly into the desk flush so that all keys press and I can rock beast mode DPS. :/

Poorly cropped Image of them being pressed:

G-Tune NKRO realforce over native ps/2 (no adapter). Fast release. I'm pretty proud of that press actually, got the full numpad AND pretty much the entire qwerty section.

There only seems to be false positives, due to the bug Ripster mentioned. Although I'm getting false positive up there on the num / too, can anyone confirm that as happening on theirs? The key is not actually stuck when I try to type elsewhere.

I can type just fine, so that leaves a problem with windows to be quite unlikely.

Left CTRL and Prtsc are pressed because I can never remember if it's ctrl or alt to capture just the window, and did the wrong one.

(edit) Hitting numpad during a test seems to be what gets the windows and / key to always register as pressed in the program for me. They do work normally in windows though.

Did it stop registering more keys, or were you just not able to figure out how to get more pressed down?

I just tried to hit as many as i could using two hands, mine is also tenkeyless so i have no numpad. I would imagine that it would keep registering more keys, but the picture is of after i let go.

I used a book to do this one, as usual I had to hit every single modifier to get them to unstick and post this.

Sooo this is a problem, just something that's not a deal-breaker because nobody is pushing ~14+ keys at the same time?

You would need to press and release and incredibly large number of keys at the same time, I don't see this ever being a problem. Even if you use a large number of keys you don't release them all at once.

People who use PS/2 will be disappointed though.

The only reason to use PS/2 after all is to get NKRO.
