Filco Stuck Modifiers and Keys - Page 3

Pretty sure you can replicate this one on other keyboards. Try it.

OCN Mechanical Keyboard guide overlooks the fact that the OS and applications also limit key rollover.

In other words 6KRO over USB is good enough for most humanoids.

My realforce was able to press over 20 keys without experiencing this problem, so it does not seem to be an OS issue, but a keyboard isssue.

Keep trying.

See my screenshot a few posts back, over 50 keys pressed down at once.

Unless you have a better way of testing?

Impressive.

I'll remember that next time I put a Oxford English Dictionary on my keyboard or turn it upside down and mash against the table.

Sure but I think it's interesting if the Filco really doesn't do NKRO over ps/2, and just does 12 or 14 or something.

Did you test yours over the ps/2 connection, or did you just leave it in USB to prove USB has no problems?

Filco should not advertise n-key rollover then. It is more like 12-key rollover.

This is where it comes down to what exactly does the KRO rating mean? All of the keys will be registered, so I think they're safe to say that.
It doesn't really happen without an incredibly large number of keys and they all have to be released at once.

Yep, my Filco Gen 2 does this too in three different testing apps so it's not the test.

Under PS/2 only.

I'd test my only other PS/2 NKRO keyboard, the IBM Model F AT but it is not compatible with the Asus P8P67 Deluxe PS/2 port. Many keyboards aren't compatible with modern motherboards as shown in this PS/2 Compatibility Wiki here.

My advice is to stick to USB and be happy, modern, and bug free.

I believe the "sticking" issue is software based issue.
I tested Cherry 3494 and got sticky Win key but it doesn't affect anything when I swap to other programs.
