Filco Stuck Modifiers and Keys - Page 4

Does anyone know if this problem occurs on other keyboards other than Filco at this point of time?

Hmm they say the sticky Win key is a false positive.

For filco it gets real bad though. I get up like 10+ keys ending up being stuck. Does it happen on your Cherry?

I recommend not facepalming onto your keyboard.

Or use USB.

Squarebox, see this post
. Not a SW error since the stuck modifiers (especially ALT) become apparent quickly. I'm pretty sure you can replicate on other keyboards if you work hard enough.

I had this problem with my unicomp space saver under usb

OK. Don't use USB.

But the not facepalming on your keyboard advice still holds.

Yeah I avoid facepalming on my keyboards. But it does get annoying trying to type something and my backspace gets stuck and deletes everything I just wrote. Or my j gets stuck in an infinite loop and then makes the kb unusable.

Or caps lock not working, scroll lock and number lock not working either. Only turn on if I plug in another keyboard and turn it on through that (USB and ps/2).

I think I need to give unicomp a call.

So this is with the Unicomp with the USB option, not an adapter?

I'll have to try replicating that.

Yup, USB option with no adapter. Always got stuck at start up too. Was impossible to put in my password.

Hmm, it kinda feels like the fault in the keyboard's controller? From what little info I could source from the Internet it seems the problem usually lies with Filco keyboards only.

It happens too on other OSes apart from Windows

Strangely, doing a search, it seems Filcos are the ones with the biggest problem, or maybe it's just Filco that is most widely used?

If anyone here is NOT using a Filco keyboard, please post your results here!

You plan on putting a book on your keyboard often?

Plus Keyboard Rage is just not good for your blood pressure.
