With USB you can have two keyboards going at once. Splurge.

For that matter this Filco "problem" (which btw is a dormant 3 month old thread) goes away if you just plug the keyboard into USB and throw away the purple dongle.

Bringing back the 90's!

I haven't experienced this issue on any of my ps/2 NKRO keyboards (some tests by me earlier in this thread), so I assume it's just a filco problem.

I'm pretty sure it occurs with Das too. And probably other Costar keyboards like the Rosewill or WASD.

Not a biggie. Who does fighting games on one keyboard? Who uses PS/2 anymore?

I know its not a big problem, but if I buy a keyboard that claims itself to be NKRO, I think it is only reasonable that it works as intended. I dont think having stuck keys, and so many in this case, is reasonable.

And it seems that only few brands including Filcos are affected, so there is a problem with the controller which should be fixed if they advertise themselves as nkro.

I tend to blame Microsoft more than the keyboard manufacturers.

Luckily Microsoft fixed this one with a SP update.

Or go USB. That's what I would do. A lot more convenient if you swap keyboards.

Well, one of the testers used Ubuntu and replicated the problem, so it probably isn't a software or driver level fault.

It's either the keyboard controller or a limitation of the PS/2 port. Which is what I am trying to find out here, to see if others can come forward with their results on other boards as well....

I just tried it. No problems here.

USB FTW!

Just tried the Filco under USB. No problems here.

Note that if you use Aquakeytest you DO get false negatives. For example with the Filco under USB it indicates a stuck RSHIFT when I put a Dictionary on the keyboard. However testing with Notepad shows that RSHIFT is NOT active.

I'm not testing PS/2 again. Too lazy to reboot.

It will be great though if you have the time to test another NKRO PS/2 keyboard (if you have one) to see if this problem is inherent in all such keyboards, hehe.

Why don't you?

I mean, why should I be the one that does all the work around here?
