The kit lens is fine.
It's not a zeiss or fast prime, but the IQ is decent enough, especially for something worth $50.

And buy a lens that can autofocus on your camera. You can put it in manual focus if you want, but manual focus is a pain 95% of the time... and almost totally unnecessary.

I usually recommend to people get a cheap entry level camera with kit lens + $100 50mm prime for great IQ. Then spend your time/money learning how to use the camera + light to make your image.

Save your money, one day we will be able to extract images of everything we have seen from our brains and will not need cameras.
