Help challenged gamer to customize Witcher 2 controls

*I also posted this under PC Games section of the forum. I hope my infringement of the rules here can be excused this once, I just need to reach out to as much persons as possible who may have the necessary skills to help me. My apologies, dear Admins.

Hey guys,
I'm gonna ask a humongous favour to anyone out there who is willing to help me.

The situation: I play games with one hand due to nerve damage. This is a very very old video of me running COD4 which already exists on this forum, as proof of how i roll.

As you may notice, i use the numpad alot. Additionally, my setup is as follows for Cod4 and other shooter games just to give you an example:

MOUSE (Microsoft Optical Intellimouse)
RIGHT CLICK - Move forward
LEFT - Attack/Fire
LEFT THUMB - Strafe Left
RIGHT THUMB - Strafe Right
MID CLICK - Aim/Zoom

KEYBOARD
SPACEBAR - Move Backward (I never use it and probably never will)
NUM1 - Special Grenade/Special Weapon/Explosive
NUM2 - Frag Grenade/Spellcast(Oblivion)
NUM3 - Melee/Knife
NUM0 - Reload
NUMDEL - Prone/Block(Oblivion)/Use(Crysis 2)
NUMENTER - Sprint/Always Run/Sniper hold breath
NUM+ - Crouch/Sneak(Oblivion)
NUM- - Jump

Rest of the Numpad (NUM4-NUM9) are all assigned to whatever additional functions a game may have, like airstrikes, map, tactical visor...stuff like that. Soo that's a basic control config for any given game that uses the mouse as a camera or FPS.

So far I have played and beaten the following with the setup outlined above:

Batman Arkham Asylum
Crysis 2
COD4 - I also play multiplayer alot
MW2
Blackops
Elder Scrolls Oblivion
Mass Effect 2
Gears of war - Even though it only lets you use one thumb button ( I never strafed right the entire game cool.gif )
Battlefield Bad Company 2
maybe a few more i can't remember right now.

I just got Witcher 2, fired it up, and to my horror, the controls aren't customizable from the interface, meaning they weren't meant to be at all. I found a guide on how to remap the keys:

http://segmentnext.com/2011/05/18/the-witcher-2-crashes-fps-fix-sli-fix-ati-graphics-nvidia-performance-no-sound-errors-and-fixes/

But i am so terrible at that stuff, I need help, particularly help to assign the Mouse thumb buttons to the strafe functions, which I dont see at first glance in the control list given. I hope someone out there who can help me sees this. It really sucks that a game doesn't come with customizable controls, It really excludes an often overlooked portion of the gaming community - the physically challenged.

I don't have Witcher 2, so can't test that; but someone mentions some configurator.exe in bin folder for key remaps:
Quote:
you can remap the keys in the configurator. just go to your witcher 2\bin folder, open configurator.exe and click on Input Settings...

Found it here

Worth a try.
