Not so much that, if you go from start to about middle of the game, the ideas, the world, everything was so unique and creative it was a constant mindgasm. Then you get to this part where you have to be a big daddy...ok...annoying but ill go with hit..then you get to this....charred up body that absolutely doesn't make any sense and wants you dead so you kill him then it's end game.
And yes, the first one had the console retarded UI that was in fact limited. If you guys are sitting here defending every aspect of the game then obviously pointing anything out is a waste of time. It's the very reason why games have taken such a plummet these past years especially with UBIsoft ruining just about every franchise they had that made them who they are. No I'm not talking down on you guys in general. I'm saying as a whole people just tend to accept whatever game comes out and never criticize the games simplification and dumbing down for this new wave of retarded console gamers who have the attention span of a goldfish with down syndrome.
The whole concept of bioshock was supposed to be superior to what was released. Ya the story was amazing and so was the artwork but it ended there. The gameplay was repetitive, the user interface was garbage (couldn't even select what you wanted to pick up out of a garbage can..if it had 3 items in it you had to take all 3 ). The respawn chambers that they disabled after they got their butts reamed about it and so forth.
Just saying, if people don't stop accepting every piece of garbage these developers release you'll never see the gems that made pc gaming what it was. I mean heck, even gearbox managed to screw up the new Duke Nukem..which wasn't a complex game to begin with :|
No none of this was anger directed the members here..just ranting...Edited by SpykeZ - 6/7/11 at 10:57am
