Oh yeah your wrong about people not buying a game with pacman graphics...
People flocked to minecraft in hordes and it has graphics Worse then pacman .

FYI if anyone wants crazy graphics, a game world on a fallout/TES scale, and amazing sound. Check out Just Cause 2 I must have missed the release of this game because I had never heard of it before last week lol.
I forgot about Minecraft, but then again, Minecraft isn't as mainstream as Battlefield, or Call of Duty is. All of the younger generation of children gamers that grew up with Call of Duty 4 and beyond are going to want better and better graphics as time goes on - they care not about content or quality of gameplay (else they wouldn't keep on buying those silly COD games lol). I bet if you were to look at the demographic of the people that purchased minecraft, you'd see a lot of older gamers, at least 20+ who can appreciate good, creative games despite sub-par graphics.

Oh yeah I'm in no way bashing minecraft lol I even play it.
Minecraft is the exception of a game that has bad graphics but above par game play so it evens out the field a little.

I've been playing the Duke Nukem games on my old-ass PIII machine each night after work. After blitzing through DN1, DN2, and DN3D, I can honestly say that graphics don't matter to me. Maybe I'm just a fanboy, but I had more fun mindlessly blasting in Duke Nukem 2 than I ever did in Halo.
