IF Australia is successful in its bid to host one of the world's largest technology projects, you might be able to take part in the action from your computer.

A decision on which country will host the Square Kilometre Array — an enormous network of 3000 radio dishes — won't be revealed until next February, but the CSIRO is already making some big plans just in case.

Oh dear god this is fantastic. I would certainly and gladly offer support for a project like this. I know when the Allen Array decided it was going to shut down that they were hopes that something would come along to surpass the efforts already put forth. I did not know this was in the works!

Wonderful, truly inspirational news. Now, if we could just get the world governments to collaborate on some mirrors and scopes for the Moon....
