Stupid EA!!!! - Page 3

I knew a lot of people felt like me when I heard the news. I as many of you am waiting for ME3 and BF3. I would like them on steam. They can have them on origins also. They complain that us PC gamers don't buy PC games and steal them but those of us like me who actually buy the games get punished by these over-done accounts, software, and DRM....What am I to think?

I don't think that will work. Certain games can't be loaded onto steam. An example of one is Assassin's Creed 2. If you get the hard copy of the game you won't be able to load it into your non-steam games on steam.

I do understand the arguments of not wanting additional software - but why should EA (or any other major games company) be locked into having to use Steam?

As I mentioned in the other thread, if EA do not force me to keep their "origin" program open when I play an EA game, then it is already one step better then Steam for gamers IMHO.

Meh, I never even liked Steam. I still use Xfire, I like Xfire.

It better not be bloatware.

What if I do and it installs origins first before allowing me to play? The way FEAR 2 did with steam?

Like the EA loader? I think origins will actually be direct competition as it says to steam. I'm not getting it.

I HATE steam, its just annoying, i miss the days where i could just amble down to the local store and buy a CD with my money, without having to setup freaking credit cards, and deal with online crap or download times. I also cant stand steam DRM like for civ 5, i bout the hard copy specifically because I dont like steam, but then bam, i have to install steam anyways. I want my games on my cds and my hdds, not on some server somewhere linked to my name and account.

I refuse to use any of this garbage.

No steam, no GFWL, no "origins", no impulse, none of it.

This does mean that I can't play a good portion of recent releases, but that just means I have a smaller cesspool of turds to comb for decent games.
