Granted I don't own any other games directly from EA as everything else is on my Steam account, but I think it's fine. It doesn't bother me.

In 2003 when Steam debuted, no one liked it - at all. Now it gets tons of love (in comparison to those who don't).

I don't mind either. However that being said, I am adamant in my extreme distaste for anything related to Stardock (Impulse) products. I despise Stardock as much as I despise Apple. And I despise Apple immensely...
I didn't like Steam in the beginning either but they have now almost every game that launches for PC on it and a large community so there is no need to look elsewhere. Makes me think that makes EA jealous like the greedy people that they are. We need origins like we need a facebook 2....basically we don't..we already have a facebook and we already have a steam.

you really think that steam should be the online store to offer games online?

yeah, thats great for business, if you are steam, but sucks for customers.

How does it suck for customers? Steam has been generous with deals and new games have a general set price of 49.99 to 59.99 anyway so I don't understand what your point is. Maybe I missed it.

and direct2drive offers 10% all preorders, and sometimes up to 20% off them.

Steam usually doesnt have the best deals, it just has the largest community.

More competition, means cheaper prices.

I refused to buy EA games before they were sold on Steam. I will refuse to buy them after.

Doesn't bother me, as I'm not a Valve/Steam Fanatic. The only time I even really consider buy a game on Steam is during the sales. I also figured out the option to prevent these programs from starting up with Windows automatically.

If you live in the US it might be generous. In AU, our $ is higher then the US dollar and yet we still pay $89.95 for recent games - the same games released in the US for "49.99 to 59.99".

Steam just anals everyone who is not in the US.

HomeDepoSniper I love that sig!

Heh, the semi-hateful EA gif and my entire post was taken down cause Mods' thought it was too offensive, even if it was censored

Looks like I'll have to lay low on the EA/Steam jokes for now But thanks anyways, gave you returned rep.

Looks like it is back to boxed editions of games for me if every big company out there starts doing that.

And I had just got my wife used to steam...

EA just buy steam and make everyone happy alright? You have the money yes?
