Trying to set up my Intel 80 GB SSD

I cant get it to show up in the COMPUTER tab, but it shows up in the bios setup... whats wrong?

You need to format the disk.

Type compmgmt.msc into your run box and then format it in there under disk management

You gotta go to disk management (i think it's diskmgmt.msc) and format the drive.

Also, I assume you're going to wanna boot off that drive? Then you'll also need to make an image of your current drive and copy it over...

There's a guide on how to do that somewhere here.

MBR is used for Windows XP etc.

if you're running Windows 7 then you want GPT (Even though I thought it was GBT)

Allright I have the thing formatted in NTSC, but now I donnt think Im getting the performance I should... does this look right to you?

your running in ide mode...need to switch to achi to get best performance
