MOBO-VGA drivers BIOS update?

Thread Starter
I'm built my computer back in December and am doing a driver update for this first time. when i went to the MSI website it led me to download Live update which told me i was over due for a BIOS update among other things. I figured that the chipset might give me better graphics with the VGA update so I have set my computer to begin those updates...Did I mess up big time? how are the new driver updates?

I'm pretty sure there's a good amount of performance gained when upgrading from older 10.xx to 11.xx drivers. Maybe around 15%.
