Nvidia - Oh how I've missed you <3

Thread Starter
Installed my new 560 Ti last night after having to deal with a 4870x2 for a while. Despite not having a massive increase in performance, I have seen about 10-20% improvement overall.

The best part is that all games now work flawlessly, all games run smooooothly, nice and new drivers (not having to stick with 2010 ones), idles at 34C and my PSU isn't having kittens whenever I ramp up the GPU!

Good times biggrin.gif

Yeh NVIDIA is pretty good, all though screwed up with their mid gaming range, they still have good GPU's

Still deciding if i should get AMD Radeon 6970 or NVIDIA GTX 580, So hard to decide.

agreed, the 275 drivers are amazing...meanwhile AMD owners are struggling hard with the Witcher 2.

I'm extremely happy with my 580, but the 6970 is a good chunk cheaper.

My next graphics card will be an Nvidia - I can't wait, to be quite honest. My first graphics card was an Nvidia one and it was great with software. I've had an onslaught of driver problems with ATI though.

@jackbrennan: a 6970 is also 'a good chunk' slower.

Not a good chunk. Maybe at the max 5-7%

No, it's not.

Metro 2033 for example

Vantage performance

3DMark 2011

Battlefield BC2 is where the 580 shines

All in all the difference is minimal and the 6970 is a very good choice.

6970 - 350$; GTX 580 - 600$ Performance difference is about 10-15% so it's not worth twice the money :/ Oh and the prices are from my country smile.gif

Well I think it's worth the money. Eventho I've been happy with either amd or nvidia. Price difference here is about 100 bucks. So I think it's worth the money to get the additional performance

I know exactly what you are feling right now. biggrin.gif I upgraded from a HD5770 to the same card you are using now and I am soooo HAPPY. Was thinking about getting the 6950 but then decided against it. who needs the aggravation!
In my country, the 6950 costs quite a bit more than a 560.
