OC:ing 1090t but High temperatures - Page 2

Your n/b voltage is heating things up quite abit-that realy is way to much for some reason on that chip and thoses settings, plus yes you need a different cooler and the stock fans in that case are not that good, at most there a medium performace fan. Even the vcore on that chip you have is way too much, you should beable to get 4.0 with less than 1.42 vcore.

Any idea how I could reduce volts? Can't seem to even boot with less than 1,45 and crashes below 1,475 when I run prime. only raised the multiplier so far since changing fsb evens slightly causes instability.

Unfortunately the 1090T is a hot chip. I run mine @ 4ghz @ 1.48v. Holds steady @ 55c. You need a top of the range cooler for that case or a good cooler with a better airflow case.

all i can tell ya is check out my sig rig and my settings at 4.1 on my cpu, and list all your componants and all settings that would help, you should beable to get much better than what your getting. And i run this 24/7.

Here are some settings atm.

Cpu freq: 200
Cpu multiplier 18.5
PCIE freq: 100
HT link ratio: x11
NB speed: 2200

CPU voltage: 1.4
DRAM voltage: 1.650
NB Voltage: 1.145
Sideport voltage: 1.7
Cpu NB voltage: 1.325
HT voltage: 1.2

OC:d with bios to 3.7ghz atm, stable but still goes over 62c in prime. Used ASRock OC tuner to check those settings.
