GTX 560 EVGA or Sapphire HD 6870

I am stuck between the two. I have an intel processor and i lean towards gaming with some video and photo editing.

Which one is better and why? Please help me decide. The reviews i have seen are somehow conflicting.

The GTX 560 is higher performance over an AMD 6870. That's a no brainer unless your comparing it to the AMD 6950.

I love both companies you mentioned however. If you were to go with AMD 6950 the Sapphire 2GB version would be best.

In your case the GTX 560 of any vendor is a great card to over clock and you'll get nice performance gaming.

The normal GTX 560 has 336 processing cores and the Ti has 384 processing cores, Ti consumes about 40 watts more power than the normal version.

GTX 560 - Core Clock: 810MHz, Shader Clock: 1620MHz
GTX 560 Ti - Core Clock: 850 Mhz, Shader Clock: 1700 Mhz

I'd still pick the 560 over 6870. I owned 6870's, great cards but not more performance. You'll get higher over clocks from the 560. Naturally you'll get even more performance with the Ti.

Good luck, let us know which way you went and post back.

I can actually buy both cards. Doesn't matter which one is cheaper? I am leaning towards the 560 as i am a geforce user since day 1. Thanks for the info. If you have further stuff to say i will appreciate it
