PCH voltage control is part of almost every LGA1155 board but it doesn't need to be changed.

On X58 the PCI-E controller is in the IOH on P67 its in the CPU, you have control over system agent voltage and the PCI-E controller is part of that. IDK what you wanna change?

Hi sin, thanks for your reply.

The reason i want to up the pci-e voltage is this:

On alot of systems the new video cards in the ati 69xx and nvidia 5xx series have a problem in world of warcraft, they will give a freeze within 5 - 360 minutes with driver not responding errors.

i first found the solution to this by upping the pcie voltage slightly, but cant find the original post.

someone else solved this too upping his 1.5v to 1.6v http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2064229521

my current asus p5e board doesnt support changing pcie voltage, i want to be sure if i buy a new i5 system, that the option is available

you shouldn't have that problem with the newer LGA 1155 systems, in the older boards and even newer ones that voltage is the voltage for teh PCI-E controller, its not the actual PCI-E voltage, in my understanding PCI-E voltage is 12v.

yea i am well aware, no PCI-E slot voltage is 12v or 3.3v, those voltages are voltages for the controllers.
