Monday ViewSonic announced that it is launching a new line of tablets starting with the release of the 7-inch ViewBook 730. Unlike its other tablet offerings, this new device is geared for the "value seeker" but promises not to compromise on features. And while the ViewBook 730 name sounds more e-reader-like than tablet, the specs show it to be a fierce contender against Barnes & Noble's current NOOK Color.

Mine seems light enough to me and I have a case that makes it just a bit heavier as well. Never tried any other tablets though, 7" seems pretty near perfect for reading though.

Only wanted one for reading so I guess it is a good thing all the transformers were out of stock because I don't know how good 10" would be for reading for a long time.
