Touch is also useless. Great idea for a phone, fine scaled up to a tablet. Quite fun on a smaller device like the DS.

Stupid otherwise. I want to play games on my TV, not some stupid controller.
You can play on the TV... the option is there if someone wants to use the TV and you can resume the game on the controller. The controller screen does not have a CPU/GPU. The console steams the game to the controller.

It will have an AMD custom GPU in it...

No real specifics on the GPU though...

I just want a new "tendo" with lots of rpg's and a regular old controller. Guess I'll have to wait a few more years(or go back in time I guess =) Just not into this new crazy motion touch stuff, seems more of a checklist box item, hd check, online check, some weird thing no one else has/nor wants check.

You gotta love Nintendo for doing what they do. You can play the game, pause, walk away with the controller..And continue playing. Wow. Nintendo, hats off yet again. Let's hope the games are better on this then the Wii.

EDIT: And one thing that other companies should learn from Nintendo: BACKWARDS COMPARABILITY IS IMPORTANT.

I've truly not seen a single argument against Nintendo with any sort of reasoning besides ignorance and short-sightedness.

What is wrong with this?

The ones who call this a gimmick and crap are the ones who called the Wii a gimmick, and just play on their pc, using the mouse and keyboard.. That has been used for OVER 20 years.

Yet, you say this is gimmicky and not innovation?

wish they showed less about the controller and more about the actual system

Cost of controller = Cost of console ???????????? I think nintendo has gone overboard. The gameboy was still nintendos best product all around.

I can see some reasoning behind it. My wife decided we should get a wii, because she wanted to do wii fit and other things with it.

The only thing our wii has done in entertain the niece and nephew when they visit, and for us to play on netflix. It took us maybe a month to get bored of the wii, i bought several games for it, smash bros, mario cart, and a couple others, but i dont play them any more.

I play on my PC daily and have invested hundreds of hours in some games. So the good ol Keyboard and mouse is tried and true, been playing it for over 15 years now. the wii lasted me a month.

If that doesnt make it a gimmick, i dont know what does.

That being said, i dont think the wii is a gimmick, it simply attracts a different kind of gamer than what i am.

Maybe when the waggle stick and screen have 20 years under their belts we'll see.
