What's a good 32" and up monitor to purchase?

What's a good 32"+ monitor to purchase? I have a Samsung 27" P2770HD hooked up to me computer, but it looks different than if I were using it with a regular monitor like my hp monitor. What would be a good monitor to use as a tv/computer.

There aren't many monitors larger than 30"... that's TV territory. But I'd say check out Dell's U3011 if you want a great display and don't mind the price.

Edit: I don't know anything about TVs, and the U3011 is a 16:10 display which might not be ideal. Anyway, good luck with your search.

There are no consumer monitors that are greater than 30". Those are all TVs.

How far away are you sitting from the display?

This is what ive been using the picture and colors are great. Gaming on it is fantastic no noticable input lag or ghosting.

Dell U2711 if you want e-IPS. Samsung 305T if you want S-PVA. You could probably find a used one for a decent price.

32" at 1920x1080
30" at 2560x1600

It depends on viewing distance.... at 2-4ft, I personally would be annoyed with the 32".

I bought a used 32" HDTV for around $300. A 30" monitor at 2560x1600 would be much more expensive, no?

whether you call it a monitor or not if its 32" and has a built in TV tuner it is a television, but it does look nice besides the massive bezels.
