Surge protector for a laptop?

I am looking for a decent surge protector for my Dad's laptop. It needs to be portable, so no long power strips. How many joules should I look for? What brand?

I use one of the simple APC Home/Office SurgeArrest pieces. They're quite small (maybe the size of a tall book) and generally go for under $25. Haven't had any problems in the 2 years I've had it.

That Belkin looks fine. Thanks for the suggestion.

Any more opinions?

A surge protector will depend on where in the home the laptops going to be plugged in. in the back of the home the surge will be less aggressive than like at the front of a home close to the entry point.

The Joules on a surge protector is only a indication of its lifespan btw

Here you go

APC SurgeArrest Notebook Pro - surge suppressor
