It's the Sandforce controller that's the problem. I knew the drives were going to fail because of it, no matter who makes it, OCZ or Corsair. Non-Sandforce drives are the way to go for now.

I just want to say thank you to Corsair for dealing with this properly. After the whole EK Nickel hastle it's nice to have a company own up to a mistake in manufacturing and offer an easy, free way to replace the product or get reimbursed. I know a larger company like Corsair can absorb the cost easier, but they're still owning up to it as opposed to a few other companies.

get a different model. Its not a biggie.

That's a pretty good return policy, another great example of how great Corsair is. I'm always impressed by their customer support.

...now the fact that the audio panel on my 800D adds a level of noise, that's another issue that I'm still disappointing with.

CorsairGeorge, is only the 120GB model affected? Would you be able to elaborate on the specific issue? Will Corsair be creating new procedures to address this type of issue in the future?
Agree. Even simple operating procedures have a risk of killing you.
