If you wana max this game in eyefinity at 60 fps you'll need a liquid cooled X79 Sandy Bridge OC'ed to 6GHz with Tri - SLI nVidia (tm)

Lesson to be learned: RTFA

I mentioned in the now closed thread it wasn't official, while everyone else was blowing their load over the unofficial specs. How did I come to that conclusion? The article from the unofficial BF3 blog was dated April, and the article itself clearly said the specs were estimated. OCN is notorious for news that isn't news, because of the dumb rep system encouraging people to find whatever sly methods they can to get points. (Edit - hell, even this thread fits the bill)

a pair of mid to low end last generation graphics cards is nothing impressive.

sli 460's won't be enough to max it out at playable frame rates.

I believe you´re wrong, unless you´re talking about 16xAA etc.

System requirements aren´t out yet. With that said, the gameplay footage we´ve seen so far is on a single GTX 580. SLI GTX 460 beats GTX 580 by quite a bit.

You guys are blowing this way outta proportion. Keep in mind not everyone uses 1920x1200 or 2560x1600 monitors. MSI 6970 Lightning should be good enough even for 30" monitors.

BF3 PC specs? It' not like any other platform requres an upgrade. Basicly, BF3 system requirements would be more appropriate. Just saying.
