If you're planning on replacing motherboards every year with a new set of cards and have the money to do this, you should be going Intel and not even looking at AMD right now...
By that rationale, all 1366 boards, even the R3E, should NOT be considered "enthusiast" since it ONLY supports x16/x8x/x8? So all boards MUST have a NF200 chip in order for them to quality as "enthusiast"? Also, you claim that using x8 lanes will be a great handicap, yet I only see a 1 FPS difference?

Yes, and remember what I said as the first point? That it has the proper layout for triple-slot cards (IE, the cards won't hang over the lower edge of the board)? I happen to have two triple-slot 6970s...which hang over on my CIVF.

It doesn't appear that AM* knows how to make a point without insulting someone...

yea, those boards the haf series cases(while well featured) are just too much for me, the whole gamer chic style gets old really quickly
i don't mind that type of cases/component being on the market, i just don't like how they are the only game in town for well featured parts, at least we have the new color scheme for the UD line from gigabyte

Those 1366 boards weren't released in 2011 with no native CPUs to run on.

Sure...because the other guy's post was so innocent, right? Mind reading the post before you accuse me of something? And ever heard of the golden rule of treating others as you wish to be treated (see below)?

Well if you willingly want to burn some spare cash of yours on a new motherboard that would go much better towards a watercooling setup for your cards, don't let me by any means stop you... And wasn't trying to insult you FYI.

Hasn't the Sabertooth always been the counterpart of the Crosshair and the Maximus that is more just for looks, but lacks performance?

Most of the 990FX boards are cross-compatible, and can run SLI or Crossfire setups (this mobo included).

I wouldn't say always, but seems like it in this case.
