Overclocking Athlon II x2 250 - Page 2

Check my clock if u want, i have a regor 250 as well.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1857525

temps are 20ish idle and 31 load 12+ hours doing prime!

Ohh and get this cooler for your cpu:

http://www.inet.se/artikel/5321604/c...hyper-212-plus

Hogging your thread a lil sry, u guys think i should settle with my clock or go for more with those temps? I have installed cooling on my wrms and i have measured them as well and np, they doesnt get to hot.

1333Mhz for the RAM. I DO have an option, but an option i can't change. The stock is set to 1.4v, i can't go any higher. I can go lower, but no higher. Must be my board.

EDIT: Sorry, My RAM is rated for 1333Mhz. IDK if that is what its at right now. I can change it, And I've tried. But idk how to read all that RAM crap. So I really didn't get into it. All I did is set the RAM to 800 because people say the RAM OC's as you OC the CPU so I set it down to make sure it didn't blow up.

Maybe using a camera phone or something, you could take a picture and post it (of the section) so we could have a rough idea of what you would need to do.

Also, you might want to try lowering the HT link to 2000. That seems to improve stability, or at least it doesn't improve performance.
I can Enable custom P-States and the Core VID and all that is under there. Any other voltages are on another page called voltage control. CPU-Z says 1.394V i believe. While i was OC'ing i set the HT link to like 1.8Ghz i think so i as i overclocked it wouldn't go higher. It's sitting at 2000Mhz right now. I need more power if i wan't to OC more. I went up to 3.8Ghz and couln't boot. Dropped to 3750Mhz and ran prime95 and core0 failed. So i need to down it alittle more. I think i'm stuck with what i have until o get a board that can support better OC'ing.
I'll post a picture up soon, I'm at school right now. Haha
I'll take a picture of CPU-Z and the BIOS screen I OC from.

Thats cool man, I'm at 3.750Mhz right now aswell. But need to drop it do to it getting enough power. My board is obviously not made for advanced OC'ing. And cant raise the Vcore.

If u are at 3.75ghz with default vcore u should be happy, thats really good. And also i googled your motherboard and i think u should be able to change the vcore but not the *multiplier.

Hmm http://www.overclockers.com/forums/s...d.php?t=674204 check that out, same board as u!

Afteru do the same thing as he did, u should be able to change settings i hope

Borrowing your thread a lil, what u guys think bout my final overclock project?

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1858074

I know its budget but meh. Seems ok or anything i should change? I know vcore is high but my temps are: idle 20c and load 30c.

I'm at 3.7Ghz (Unstable) Core0 failed after 10mins of prime95. And maybe its not my Mobo, it's my CPU? Because its not a BE or Phenom? Either way i can't go over 1.4V which is gay. Haha

I actually read this, I'll read it again maybe i missed something. But this guy has a Phenom as i have a Athlon.

It's cool bro. That's a good clock. Vcore may be a little to high. You should lower it and find the sweet spot. But its up to you not me. Atleast you can change your voltages Lol

Alright guys, I'm making some progress. I got my CPU cooler in today!
AND
I decided to mess with this "CPU Over voltage" thing. I set it to +0.10V and it ups my voltage to 1.488v.
The only thing is this voltage @ 3.8Ghz core0 Fails after like 5 seconds of prime. Does it need more? Or is it just to much?

So, i have it set to 3705Mhz and I ran Prime95 for a little and the temps never went over say.. 103F I think. So, the new cooler works.

Yes, but i can't go over 1.4v. I CAN use PU over voltage. Which if set to +0.10v it sets vCore to 1.488-1.5v and if at +0.20v it sets it to 1.6v
