Need a new gpu.

Thread Starter
Hi, it's been a while, and now that i got a job I can afford it to replace my current rig within the comming weeks.

I'm totally clueless as to wich gpu I should get withing my desired budget: €250.
I will be using this gpu on an Asus P8P67 mobo & 2500k cpu.
I'd like to play new games on highest settings without AA at my native res (1920x1080)

If there's more info you need, feel free to ask.
Thanks in advance

Both of those would be good choices for a GPU

Nvidia releases updated drivers more often the AMD
AMD has a rep. for better bang for your buck

choice is yours to make

Do both gpu's have any OC'd variants?
If so, wich one do you recommend?

Also: Please consider taking a look here,
ATI:
http://www.alternate.be/html/categor...Radeon+HD6000&

Nvidia:
http://www.alternate.be/html/categor...3=GeForce+GTX&

Might give me better options considering the different pricing in other countries.

259, I don't know if you mean 250 before or after tax

they are easy to OC yourself with simple programs in windows(if use use windows), just move a slider

and seem to OC pretty well on average, and are a beast in games

http://www.alternate.be/html/product...=Radeon+HD6000

1GB version of 6950 for 240

next best ATI is 6870 1GB for 180

If you only plan to game on a single monitor set-up then I'd get the Asus GTX 560 Ti (219 Euros) and use what remains to fund for an SSD.

Go for a GIGABYTE GTX560 Ti OC, it's a nice card with the gracious materials and the nice cooler called Windforce2X, they help you overclock it to the higher core clock in stable condition and you can still OC it by yourself to get the better performance.

GTX 560 ti or if you can afford it AMD 6950. Those would be my two choices to you.
