Yes it's very essential for the compression fittings IDxOD(what size are you using?) to match the tubings IDxOD. You can look at different stores like frozencpu/sidewinders/aquatuning for your tubing.

yikes, I didn't see your reply here, so I posted a new thread called 3/8ID and what OD for compression fittings? I want to stick with 3/8th tubing, but on Performance-PCs all I see is 3/8ID-5/8OD and 3/8ID-1/2OD. Not sure which to get if any at all from this selection.

It's ok. Just go with what angrybutcher said,3/8"ID x 5/8"OD compression fitting + tubing.
